Khao Sok National Park, located in the west of Surat Thani Province, covers an area of over 738sq.kms. Its spectacular Limestone crags, studded with many caves, lower almost pristine tropical evergeen forest . Khao Sok form part of the largest continuous nature preserved in the Thai peninsula, and also the major watershed for the region. This area is an invaluable wildlife habitat, especially for many large mammals which rely on large areas of undisturbed forest for their survival.
